The problem with groomsmen gifts
You are buying the same thing several times over for men with nothing in common except you. That is why the category defaults to flasks, engraved lighters and socks — items cheap enough to buy in bulk and generic enough that nobody is offended.
The trouble is that everyone involved recognises a bulk purchase when they see one. A flask with initials on it reads as an item from a list, and it ends up in a drawer within the month.
A glass works differently for a practical reason: it has a job at home. Your best man pours a drink into it on an ordinary Tuesday two years from now, sees his own name cut into the crystal, and remembers the weekend. That is a better return than a flask that gets used once, at the wedding, and never again.
The other advantage is that a glass scales without looking cheaper. Six identical glasses with six different names read as a set. Six identical flasks read as a bulk order.
Ordering four to eight with different names
This is the part most personalised gift pages skip, so here it is plainly. Our checkout has a single order notes field. You are ordering several of the same glass and each one needs a different name, so you have to tell us which name goes on which.

Check every spelling before you submit
The artisan cuts exactly what you write. On an order of six, one wrong letter means one glass you cannot use and cannot return — engraved pieces are final sale. Get the list from the men themselves rather than from memory, particularly for names you have only ever heard out loud. We will email you if something looks unclear, but we cannot know that Jon is meant to be John.
We choose where the name sits on each glass, reading it against the cut pattern on that piece. There is no proof and no preview. The free hand engraving page explains why, and what the process involves.

What about the best man
Most people want to mark the best man out from the rest of the party, and there are two clean ways to do it without spending twice as much.
The first is colour. If you order the Diamond-Cut glass, give the party one colourway and your best man another. The set still reads as a set — same cutting, same maker — but his is visibly his. Nobody has to explain it.
The second is to move him up one piece. Six Black Comet glasses at $99 and one Blue Amber at $129 costs you thirty dollars more and reads as a deliberate distinction rather than an accident of budget.
What we would avoid is engraving a title. Best Man on a glass fixes it to one weekend, and he has to look at it for the next twenty years. His name works better and ages better.

Frequently asked questions
Can I put a different name on each glass in one order?
Yes. Set the quantity you need and list the names in the order notes, numbered. If you are mixing glass models, group the names under each model.
Does engraving cost more when I order several?
No. Engraving is free on every Edo Kiriko whisky glass regardless of how many you buy. It is limited to that collection — our sake ware, tableware and decanter sets are not engraved.
How far ahead of the wedding should I order?
Three weeks at minimum. Making takes three business days and transit runs 5–8, so roughly 8–11 business days in total — then leave yourself a buffer.
What if one name is engraved wrong?
We cut what you write in the order notes, so confirm the spellings in writing first. Engraved pieces are final sale. If the engraving does not match what you sent us, that is on us and we will replace it.
Do the glasses come individually boxed?
Yes. Each arrives in its own wooden box, so you can hand them out without wrapping anything.
